About the Journal

Law and Social Development Journal (LSDJ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to examining the dynamic relationship between law and social development. LSDJ provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate knowledge, insights, and innovative approaches in addressing contemporary legal issues and their impact on society.


Focus and Scope

  • Law: Constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, business law, human rights, administrative law, environmental law, and public policy.

  • Social Development: Legal aspects of education, health, governance, social welfare, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment.

  • Legal Transformation: Studies that explore how legal frameworks contribute to or hinder social progress, justice, equality, and sustainable development.

  • Publication Frequency: Biannual (January and July).

  • Languages: Indonesian or English, with abstracts in English.

  • License: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Submission Policy:

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure quality, integrity, and adherence to the highest ethical standards.

  • Editors evaluate manuscripts for scholarly value, originality, and relevance, while upholding transparency and fairness without discrimination or conflicts of interest.

All papers are published in biannual issues (January and July).
