Archiving Policy

SUMAGRIS: Sumatran Journal of Agriculture Science is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of maintaining a permanent academic record and adopts digital archiving strategies to safeguard its publications against data loss.

Digital Preservation

SUMAGRIS utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve its content. PKP PN provides a decentralized and secure archiving system that ensures all published articles remain accessible even in the event of system failure or journal discontinuation.

This preservation system allows for permanent storage and recovery of journal content, ensuring continuity of access for the global research community.

Repository and Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other scholarly platforms. This supports wider dissemination and increases the visibility and citation of the work.

SUMAGRIS follows a policy that allows both pre-print and post-print versions to be archived, provided that proper citation to the published version is included.

Accessibility and Sustainability

All archived content remains openly accessible in accordance with the journal’s open access policy. SUMAGRIS ensures that its digital content is maintained in formats that are widely supported and sustainable for long-term use.

Through this archiving policy, SUMAGRIS reinforces its commitment to sustainable knowledge dissemination, particularly in advancing agricultural science and environmental resilience.

SUMAGRIS ensures the preservation of scientific knowledge for future generations.
