Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Innovation and Scientific Collaboration (JISC)

The Journal of Innovation and Scientific Collaboration (JISC), published by pspmas.org, is fully committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, with strict adherence to the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). To maintain the integrity and originality of scholarly works, JISC enforces a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. Plagiarism, in any form, including the use of another person’s ideas, data, or words without proper acknowledgment, is considered a serious ethical violation. This encompasses direct copying, substantial paraphrasing without citation, self-plagiarism (text recycling from previously published works by the same author), and the unauthorized use of unpublished materials.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial plagiarism screening using reputable plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin. Manuscripts displaying a similarity index of more than 20%, excluding properly cited references, quotations, and standard phrases, will be immediately returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the overlap. In cases where minor overlap is detected, the editorial team will provide feedback for correction, allowing authors the opportunity to make necessary revisions. However, in instances where plagiarism is found to be deliberate and substantial, the manuscript will be rejected without further review, and the authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified. Furthermore, such authors may be prohibited from future submissions to JISC.

Self-plagiarism is equally regarded with seriousness. Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscripts are original and not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere. While referencing previous work is acceptable, it must be properly cited and clearly differentiated from new contributions. Extensive text recycling or duplication of previously published content without clear citation is strictly prohibited.

Authors bear full responsibility for the originality of their submissions. They must provide accurate citations, obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted materials, and guarantee that all contributions are free from plagiarism. Should plagiarism be discovered post-publication, the concerned article will be retracted from the pspmas.org website, accompanied by an official retraction notice clearly stating the reasons for withdrawal. Additionally, relevant indexing bodies will be informed to ensure transparency.

By submitting their work to JISC, authors acknowledge and agree to abide by this Plagiarism Policy, thereby affirming their commitment to ethical research and publication practices. This policy is aligned exclusively with the COPE guidelines to ensure consistency, fairness, and integrity in academic publishing.
