EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP MODEL IN HIGHER EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

The 21st century is the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which demands significant changes in various sectors, including higher education. Universities must be able to adapt to technological developments and improve the quality of human resources. This article discusses an effective leadership model in the management of higher education in Indonesia, highlighting the role of the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) as the main regulator. This studyshowthat situational, transformational, and service leadership are relevant models in improving the quality of higher education.
